Who we are

TradeConnect ("we", "us") operates a marketplace connecting customers with verified tradespeople in Australia, available via our iOS app and this website.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account and use the service, including: name, email, phone number, profile details, job postings and messages, location (suburb/postcode for matching), and — for tradies — licence, insurance and identity-verification documents. When you pay through the app, payment processing is handled by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace — matching jobs to tradies, enabling messaging and payments, verifying identity and licences, resolving disputes, sending notifications, and improving and securing the service.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the service — for example, relevant profile and job details between the customer and the tradie involved, and with service providers (such as Google Firebase for hosting/auth and Stripe for payments). We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & your rights

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
